I just found another thread that will be sure to help. It's got some good examples too.

Also, if you do trace I advise against it. Tracing will not help build skill, copying is far better simply for the reason that it is harder. With copying you use your perception of the object at hand and try to replicate in on the paper. Tracing is not hard enough for it to be adequate training.
